Hello Green Action Team!

Welcome to the new Saluki Green Action of the week! Last week we learned that just 1% of the Earth's water is drinkable. However, how many people, in the US alone, have access to this water?

Did You Know: The average water bill in America is $120/month. That number is expected to rise almost $50 in five years. This price hike will make water unaffordable for one-third of the country; that equates to 107.1 million people. Take Action Now: Using less water when possible and finding ways to reuse your water helps lower your bill plus limits water waste. Install a rain barrel to collect run-off during rainstorms! Click here to learn other methods of collecting unused water, for example from your shower, to reuse later. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/8-ways-to-recycle-water-around-your-house.html

To Win a Prize: Share our post to be entered to win this month's prize. Show us how you are taking action to conserve water. Post your methods to our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram/Twitter (@siugreenaction) to receive a bonus entry!
