Did You Know: The average person in the United States throws away 70 pounds of clothing and textiles every year, all of which ends up in our crowded landfills? Although post-consumer textile waste accounts for only 5% of total landfill space, the EPA estimates that the U.S. currently only recycles 15% of clothing.
