Hello Saluki Green Action Team!

Did you know: There are 2 ways to help our community, the planet AND finish your service hours at the same time!

Take Action: 

1. Participate in Keep Carbondale Beautiful's Annual Spring Clean Up & Recycling Day this Saturday April 13 from 9 am – 12 pm. Join over 200 volunteers as they spread throughout Carbondale for a city-wide litter cleanup. 

You can sign up through the Center for Service Learning & Volunteerism or by emailing sustainability@siu.edu to join our team that day. Otherwise, meet at Turley Park at 9am for street assignments! 

2. SIU has received the recognition for being a Tree Campus USA by the National Arbor Day foundation for 4 years in a row! Help grow our campus by planting pollinator-friendly trees on campus next Tuesday April 16 from either 9am- 11am or 12pm – 2pm.
