Welcome to the new Saluki Green Action of the week! This month has been all about ways to reuse water and prevent wasting as much as we can. But what do you do about wasted water you can't control, such as leaks? 

Did You Know: The average home loses between 2,000 and 20,000 gallons of water per year due to unknown/undetected water leaks? (Source: http://www.allianceforwaterefficiency.org/Household_Leaks.aspx) 

Take Action Now: If you live in an apartment complex, you should immediately contact your office about any issue so that they can alert the maintenance staff. If you live in a house then you should call the water and sewer 24/7 hotline: 618-529-1731. On campus, report a maintenance issue by calling 618-453-3621 or emailing foc@pso.siu.edu.
