Hello Saluki Green Action Team!
Did you know: Not-in-use devices that are plugged in rack up $19 billion in electricity bills every year in the United States, and accounts for roughly a quarter of the average person's electricity bill.
Take Action: Unplug your devices when they’re not in use! These include:
- TVs.
- DVR/DVD players.
- Game consoles.
- Coffee machines.
- Speakers.
- Internet routers.
- Cell phone and laptop chargers.
- Any other electronic devices.
You can also use a power strip/surge protector to group certain appliances together. Then you have the ability to turn them all on and off at one time!
