Take Action! | Sustainability | SIU

Hello Saluki Green Action Team! October is Sustainability Month! We have something special planned for this month... 

EcoChallenge is an annual, two-week competition between universities all across the nation with one goal in mind - taking actions to be more sustainable. We have been challenged by SIU Edwardsville to some friendly competition during EcoChallenge! The competition runs October 11-25. 

The challenge is simple. Our team earns points based on sustainable actions we each already do or that we plan to do.  From turning lights off more often to avoiding the purchase of toxic plastics, to making sure you get enough sleep (yes, we can sleep our way to victory) - there are so many easy little things you can do to make a difference AND help us beat SIUE.

This week your "green" action is to sign up for the EcoChallenge with our team (Saluki Green Action Team) and begin your checklist of actions you already take and decide which ones you want to take on. Just about everything you do contributes to our points. The goal is to #beatSIUE by having more points than them by October 25!
