Hello Saluki Green Action Team! This month we have highlighted zero emission transportation options including walking and biking. Sometimes a motorized method is all that works though.

Did You Know:  The average vehicle produces nearly one pound of CO2 emissions per mile? (Source: https://www.epa.gov/greenvehicles/greenhouse-gas-emissions-typical-passenger-vehicle-0) Airplanes, while basically a giant carpool transporter, produce about 53 pounds of CO2 emissions per mile. Take Action Now: During this time of mass travel on a global scale, be extra mindful of your actions. Shared transportation is a great way to reduce personal carbon dioxide emissions. Carpool whenever possible. Saluki Express has all kinds of routes to help students get to where they need to go, too! You can always refer back to our Take Action page for a refresher on some sustainable solutions!

To Win a Prize: Share our Facebook post or share and tag us on Instagram/Twitter (@siugreenaction) to spread this important information and be entered for a chance to win this month's prize!

Invite your friends to join the team, too. If they mention that you referred them when they sign upyou'll receive an extra entry in our next prize drawing.

Keep up the great work,

Saluki Green Action Team
