Green Fund Grant Ceremony Student Writing Competitition

Sustainability Writing Awards 

The Green Fund Ceremony Writing Competition, hosted by the Sustainability Office and Sustainability Council, are intended to inspire conversations about how writing can bring together people with different experience to reflect the three pillars of sustainability.  For this competition we ask students to reflect on the IMAGiNE 2030 Sustainability Pillar and how it relates to your interests, including how you have been personally impacted by sustainability whether it was an individual or personal experience.  

Criteria: Minimum word count of 750 words, Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced, and a pdf file

Scholarship Award: $750 

Essays will be accepted Friday, March 1st and due Monday, April 1st. Email questions and submission to greenfund@siu.edu. 

Submissions will be reviewed by the Sustainability Council and invited to speak at the Green Fund award ceremony, Monday, April 22nd 3:00-4:30 in Guyon Auditorium.
